A bit about me

I am a former material scientist and engineer turned designer with a passion for experimental design research. I enjoy making objects, systems, and situations that help me understand how people interact so I can make their experiences more enjoyable.

I've worked as an industrial designer for clients in personal care, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries while at the Chicago based innovation firm GravityTank, as an in-house design strategist at Capital One, and now as a practice lead for user experience design at IBM.

A few of my favorite books

  • Exposing the Magic of Design - Jon Kolko
  • I Miss My Pencil - Kara Johnson & Martin Bone
  • Universal Methods of Design - Bruce Hanington & Bella Martin
  • The Craft of Research - Booth, Colomb & Williams
